Hi,

I am trying to set up a custom DNS server to work on my network but from a discussion with the support it seems not to be supported by the connect box 3 hfc router, another solution for me would be to let DHCP be handled by my NAS and there again I see no possibility to set a custom DHCP server in the router settings (just deactivate the default one). I am trying to configure Adguard Home that is working with both. Is there any way to do this with the Sunrise router? The server I am using for the DNS is not a router, which excludes using the box in bridge mode…

The Connect Box 3 uses the default DNS-Sunrise-Servers. There’s no way to change this settings on the Connect Box.

As you mentioned, you can disable the DHCP-Server on the Connect Box 3 and use another DHCP-Server on your network.

On Synology DHCP-Server you can set your custom DNS-Server.

The DHCP range can not include 192.168.1.1, this is the default IP of the Connect Box 3 and also the Gateway.
