5GHz missing on wifi

Hello, last week I had both 2.4 and 5 GHz on my wifi. Now I installed a new wifi extender and the 5Ghz is no longer there. How do i get that back because I need both?

Advanced Settings -> Wireless Signal -> both 2.4 and 5GHz are there.

Advanced Settings -> Security -> both 2.4 and 5GHz are there but they have the same name and the 5GHz is greyed out so I cannot rename it so that it has a unique name for me to select on my wifi networks. Therefore, when devices connect to the wifi, I cannot reserve the 2.4 GHz for the TV box. This means that the TV box loses connection when the network is busy. How can I get both networks back?

you can try to reset the Connect Box 3 to factory default.

From what I know the 2.4GHz and 5 GHz have the same name and can’t be given unique names on the Connect Box 3. But I can be wrong.

I don’t use the Connect Box 3 WLAN because the settings were/are too limited. I am using third party wifi-APs, they offer much better functionality and are easier to handle.

Mauro1 Your plan does not work, not even with a modem reset. You are using WIFI extenders. These run via plume technology. This means that the WIFI networks have the same name for the 2.4/5GHz. The names cannot be separated, as this would make the MESH technology obsolete.

If you now want to separate the networks, you would have to remove the WIFI extenders and deactivate the WIFI optimization on the modem in the Admin interface. After a restart, you can then rename the WIFI networks.

Please note that your mobile devices will then have an interruption when they switch from 2.4 GHz WIFI to 5 GHz WIFI and vice versa.

Your TV Box is currently using channel 60 of the WIFI and the channel has a maximum utilization of 17%.

Thank you both for the feedback. When I had the UPC modem I could have 2 networks and use PODs to extend the WiFi. Now I am with Sunrise the TV box keeps losing connection because I only have 1 network. I am still using a UPC TV box and the technician I spoke to on the phone mentioned that using a Sunrise TV box could help. Do you think that would solve my problem? Would the Sunrise TV box give me a better and more stable connection?

Mauro1 The IPTV Box is more powerful and faster and has a better WIFI performance, but also has a LAN connection. I would say that changing the TV box can’t do any harm. Should I initiate a free replacement?
