Problem with working from home - connection to SAP

Hi, Since upgrading to Fiber Optic, I’ve been having issues with working from home using company ERP system SAP. The issue is that even though my VPN is connected, after a few minutes my SAP application would be disconnected. My company’s IT team told me that it is to do with my home network and “maybe” it has something to do with the IPv6 setup and recommend that I switch to IPv4. Anyone else has had this issue? And is switching to IPv4 really the solution? thanks in advance for any support. Peter

Does nobody have this issue? My company’s IT support team is convinced that it’s to do with the IPv6 / 4 issue. I don’t understand why this would cause my ERP application to disconnect. Some help and guidance appreciated! IS the standard Fibre Optic connection using IPv6? What happens if I request Sunrise to change this to IPv4, any nasty side effects?

Könnt ihr hier auf IPv4 umstallen?

PeterR I dont have this issue, but normally switching to IPv4 will solve many problems 🙂

Just to close this discussion. I called Sunrise support and changed my Internet setup from IPv6 to IPv4 and it did solve all my SAP application disconnection issues.
