At the end of September, we will be introducing our new basic digital offer: every household in the footprint will be provided with an Internet connection of at least 40 Mbit/s. Switching over to the new basic offer is voluntary.
The introduction of a new product portfolio in late September will also mark the launch of our new basic connection. This offers an Internet speed of at least 40 Mbit/s with the usual TV and telephony service. The new basic connection costs CHF 49 and will be billed directly rather than through additional property expenses. The aim is to make billing transparent and customer support simpler. All of our customers will be informed in writing of these developments shortly.
Switching over to the new basic offer is voluntary. Existing customers wishing to retain their basic offer of 2 Mbit/s Internet speed will continue to be billed for their subscription either through additional property expenses or directly. The price for this will be CHF 36.90 from 1 January 2017. This is due to increased investments in our high-performance glass fibre optic cable network throughout Switzerland, continuous developments in our HD channel offerings for brilliant picture and sound quality as well as the increase in the obligatory copyright fees.
If you’re looking for fast Internet at a reduced price, your can benefit from our High Speed Deal for CHF 49 instead of CHF 65 for the whole contract period.
Details on the upcoming product portfolio will follow in late September. We will keep you posted in the Community.
