IPv6 subnet changed

Hello

Today my router rebooted and IPv6 subnet changed (from 2a02:aa13:f544:aa00:: to 2a02:aa13:f544:bc80::). That’s bad because I have to reconfigure some things, including the firewall rules in the router to allow connections to specific devices from the internet (the firewall rules require full addresses and can’t be written in subnet-independent ways).

Are subnet changes expected, or was it a one-off reconfiguration of my account? Is it possible to get a subnet statically assigned?

BorisIPv6 We cannot offer you a static IP or subnet. You would have to have a business product for this. Can’t you use DynDNS, which always points to your current IP.

I can use DynDNS, but I can’t specify the port filtering rule to allow external connections to a specific machine in the network. Port filtering rules config requires full IP address (and not the part after the subnet), and it changes. So in the event of IP subnet change someone still needs to log into the router and update the rules.
