Internet randomly fails

I have a Connect Box 2 (Sunrise network, upgraded from UPC soon after the takeover), for some time already, and in the last 3-4 days it randomly fails, for minutes, and then again restarts, by itself. It has been working normally for year or more. Apparently all is ok in the area. The Connect Box itself stays on (it does not blink, the white light stays solid). Any suggestion?

The technician was here as part of another ticket (as I also called Sunrise). He will order a new modem (as mine is apparently no longer working well), but they also need to recheck the wiring through another part of the house and will make a new appointment to do this. So it’s being worked on but the network still occasionally drops out - 3-4 times today so far .
