I have a Western Digital “My Book” NAS, that I’ve been using without any issue with my old “Sunrise Internet Box”. I was using “192.168.1.4” as a static IP address, everything worked great. Moving to the new Connect Box 3, the NAS is not visible in the “list of connected devices” of the Connect Box, and not visible from any other device.
- I tried changing the configuration to use DHCP instead of a static address. This didn’t work.
- I tried using each of the 4 different LAN ports on the Connect Box. This didn’t work.
- I connected other devices using the same RJ45 cables and they were detected without any trouble, but my NAS is not working.
- I tried connecting the NAS again to the old Internet Box and it worked immediately.
- At the moment this is the only device ignored by the Connect Box, everything else worked (computers, phones, printer, Sonos, etc.)
I’m at a loss on that one. I could not find any advanced diagnostics tool on the new Connect Box that could help me figure out what’s wrong, and would appreciate some help.
