Hello,
I want to have internet access in my office, which is located in the basement, two floors below my internet box (Connect Box 3 Fiber).
So, I ran an Ethernet cable and connected a Wi-Fi router in my office. I chose a Mikrotik hAP ax3 and configured it as a simple access point.
I reset the router without the default configuration and set up the strict essentials to make my router a basic access point. Here is my complete configuration:
/interface bridge
add name=bridge1
/interface wifi security
add name=common-auth authentication-types=wpa2-psk,wpa3-psk passphrase=“XXXXXX” wps=disable
/interface wifi configuration
add name=common-conf mode=ap ssid=YYYYYY country=“Switzerland” security=common-auth
/interface wifi channel
add name=ch-2ghz band=5ghz-ax width=20/40/80mhz skip-dfs-channels=10min-cac
add name=ch-5ghz band=2ghz-ax width=20/40mhz skip-dfs-channels=10min-cac
/interface wifi
set wifi1 channel=ch-2ghz configuration=common-conf disabled=no
set wifi2 channel=ch-5ghz configuration=common-conf disabled=no
/interface bridge port
add bridge=bridge1 interface=all
/ip dhcp-client
add interface=bridge1
With this setup, I have internet access from devices connected to my Mikrotik router (Wi-Fi or cable), but since this setup, I have issues with devices connected directly to my Sunrise box. They can connect to Wi-Fi, but they no longer have internet access… It is inconsistent, some work, others don’t, and after 2-3 disconnections/reconnections to Wi-Fi, it works for a while. My network has therefore become unstable for devices directly connected to my box. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be?
