Hi,

I’m planning to upgrade my home network to 10Gbps using SFP+ switch and fiber cables. Therefore I wonder is there a possibility to get Internet Box which will have at least one LAN SFP+ port to connect it to the switch?

redragor too bad I am in the same situation as you…. I think I read somewhere that a solution was to replace the sunrise router by a Fritzbox one with SFP+ connection for LAN? How did you solve your issue?

redragor If you want to install the switch directly on the fiber connection before the modem, this is not possible. The best way to find out what options are available (modem change) is to call our support on 0800 707 707.

Thank s for you answer. Looks like my question is not detailed enough and you misunderstood.

I’m looking for a possibility to have fiber switch after the modem and use it to connect my local devices. Therefore I need an SFP+ port to be able to use it for local network.

And called Sunrise support approximately one month ago with the same question. A guy on other end promised to check this with your suppliers/vendors and get back to me with details. Unfortunately he never get back to me…

redragor According to internal clarifications, your project is not possible. You would have to have a Lan to SFP+ converter. We are therefore unable to support your project.

swissbarbos Unfortunately it’s not completely solved for me. I just used an additional switch as a workaround. But I will check what Fritzbox can offer. Thanks for a hint! 🙂
