Hello!
I’ve been using the same Sunrise Internet Box Fiber since 2018 and I currently have the “Up Internet L” service (1 Gbit/s).
I decided to purchase a FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber with a SFP AON Module and it’s been working flawlessly since i plugged it at home 2 days ago.
This morning I received an email from Sunrise indicating that there will be “upcoming changes to my Internet connection” and that I will receive a new router.
My questions are:
1- is this really necessary? I’m getting a perfect connection at the moment ~950 Gbit/s up and down
2- what router will I get? If I will be forced to replace the FRITZ!Box 5530, I would really prefer the Zyxel AX7501 and I may consider upgrading to 10 Gbit/s
The timing of this “update” is particularly bad, given that I just purchased the FRITZ!Box and it’s working well.
