Dear community.
This is my first posting so I hope I make it right…
I have a gigabit plan and I am using the connect box delivered from UPC back at the time…
Because of constraints in my house (distance between router and office), I have decided to connect my PC through power LAN. The power LAN devices are advertised to support spits up to 1GB. I am aware of the limitations of speed through power LANs, that is, the deterioration of speed because of noise and electrical interference but it was something that I decided to live with.
Nevertheless, when performing speedtests, I cannot get over a speed of 30-40Mbps if I am lucky, must of the times it is even less. I could imagine that I could get speeds of up to at least 500-600Mbps because of the power LAN infrastructure but 30Mbps that I actually get seems to be way too slow. Interesting to note is that I get similar speeds when testing through my tablet on a wifi connection.
Are there any ideas on what might be wrong here, or any way to short it out please? 😟
Thanks in advance for all the support!
