Hello! I have a new (replaced recently a failing one) UPC Giga Connect Box device (connected via fiber-optic).
As I understand the max speed could be up to 1gbit/sec.
My WLAN speed reaches around ~500mbit/sec, and it’s been like this since I’ve joined UPC a few years ago.
I’ve always suspected the LAN speed to be closer to 1gbit/sec but I’ve just tested it with an actual LAN cable (as I’ve got a stationary machine recently) and it’s only slightly better reaching around ~600mbit/sec.
It’s not bad for a regular use but it’s significantly less (40%) than the theoretical max speed.
I’ve checked my ethernet device does support 1000Mbs/s:
ethtool eno1 | grep Speed
peed: 1000Mb/s
Is there are limitations that my infrastructure could be facing or there’s a way to increase the speed on your end?
Thank you!
