Change to a brand new apartment

Hello,

I am moving to a brand new apartment (no previous tenant), so is there any need to have the visit of a technitian to unblock the sockets in order to make it work the TV, internet and telefone? I remembered that when I first moved to my current apartment (also new) somebody had to come.

Please let me know because I would like to have the services since the begining without having to wait one week without nothing.

Hello,

I can’t speak with certainty about what is the standard process applied by UPC. I can however say that everytime I moved (brand new or old flat) a third party technician had to come and check the signal on the plugs.

This was in the regions of Gland, Lausanne, Yverdon, Neuchatel and La Neuveville.

I don’t now if it is a standard or if they check what the last person had. Maybe they won’t come to check if the last person already had the same subscription??

As it is a new brand apartement, a technician should be asked. I didn’t find any informations about that on the support section of UPC.
