Hello,
I am moving to a new apartment and I need to move the Giga Connect Box as well.
In the current location I am using Cable A to connect the Giga Connect Box to the wall coax outlet, and I do not know what kind of connectors it has but I believe that the cable connector marked in RED is an F-type connector but the cable connector marked with BLUE I have no idea what it is.
In the new apartment, I will be connecting the Giga Connect Box directly to the coax distributor in the house, in a technical room, from which are cables running to all the room coax outlets in the house, so it uses a diferent kind of connector, that looks like the one on the back of the Giga Connect Box, so also an F-type connector.
The cable run will be of about 10 meters, within the technical room, but I will not buy bulk and install connectors myself, I will buy a patch cable instead.
I need to know the following please:
- What type of connectors the patch antena cable needs to have, in order to connect the Giga Connect Box directly to an antenna signal distributor and not to a wall outlet;
What shielding dimension in dB the patch/cable needs to have considering a cable run of 10 meters long and the fact that the technical room has a lot of other technical equipment that will cause interference, in order to achieve maximum signal quality to the Giga Connect Box;
Can the patch have 90* angled connectors for this kind of connection;
Does UPC/Sunrise provide or can provide, at cost, such a patch cable, in order to maintain full technical compliance with the provided service;
Thank you.
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Alexandru
