You are looking for information how to enable / disable the bridge mode on your modem? Then you are right here.

Important:
- If your modem is set to IPv6, the bridge mode function is not visible on the modem.
- Bridge mode is not available for Fibre Modems.

1. Log in to your modem.

2. Click on the Bridge Mode entry.

3. Now choose if you want to enable or disable the bridge mode.

4. Click Apply change.

Additional information:
- If you have bridge mode enabled, the modem’s firewall is disabled. To prevent your devices from being unprotected on the Internet, you need to connect a router.
- The WIFI function is disabled in bridge mode because your router takes care of it.
- The IP address to access your modem in bridge mode is 192.168.100.1.

Greetings
Daniele

Looks like bridge mode is from UPC gear,

So when will Bridge mode be available on the Sunrise modems, for XGS-PON and P2P FTTH?

    56kcloud Welcome to the community!

We do not have this information. If de Bridge Mode for Fibre is possible, we will post this in the community.

Hi, I read that it is not possible to use the bridge mode with fiber modem. I would like to use my own modem because your is limited with options available and possibilities to configure it. More than this, it is has many bugs to connect to the interface and I have trouble to connect some domotic clients.

How can I do to use it as bridge or is it possible to use another fiber modem that is not controled by Sunrise?

Thank you in advance for your ansers.

    Regards, Fred

Hornet As you have correctly written, the fiber / DSL modems are not bridgeable. It is also not possible to connect your own modem to the Sunrise network. We recommend the DMZ mode, where you can configure your own router.

It’s possible to connect to your own firewall over P2P fiber, (1Gbit) e.g the non XGS-PON, This is the wholesale interface that runs on the Swisscom BBCS platform, you just need to buy a SFP module (or pull the one out of the sunrise modem) and set on the WAN interface as follows:

VLAN ID 10 and + DHCP option 60: dslforum.org,Fast5360-sunrise (can be anything)

This will get you the correct IP

Google around and you can find others that do it. but be aware, there isn’t much reliable reports of people bringing up SFP+ XSG-PON based WAN’s with there own modems as the ONT needs to be supported by the ISP,

I did not upgrade to 10Gbit simple to keep that support

if you do some research to understand the terms will help
