Context
I have recently connected with Sunrise for Internet (Up Internal L) and TV (Up TV L), utilising the coaxial cabling into the building of my apartment. In fact in the apartment itself, coaxial cabling has been installed in the rooms, with six 3-port coaxial wall sockets distributed around the apartment. One is my home office where I have connected the Connect Box 3, and from there I have connected my computer, laptop and NAS with ethernet cables. Other devices in the apartment connect to the Connect Box 3 via wifi.
Challenge 1
At the far end of the apartment the wifi is rather weak, and I was wondering if there is a device I can connect to the 3-port coaxial wall socket available there, to boost the wifi (extender, repeater). Ideally something simple that does not conflict with the Internet Box 3 in my home office. I really just need to have stronger wifi for the mobile devices and iPad that might be used in the bedrooms in the far end of the apartment.
Challenge 2
Similar to above, is there a simple device I can connect to the (unused) 3-port coaxial wall socket in my wife’s home office that would convert the coaxial port to an ethernet one, so my wife can connect her laptop and home computer? Again, this should not conflict or interfer with the Internet Box 3, but rather be an enhancement / extension of the LAN.
In both of the above cases, I am notice there are three different ports in the 3-port coaxial wall sockets (as shown in the image below, and also to the right of step one in this Sunrise installation guide). For any connected devices (as requested in the two cases above), the cables and connectors would obviously need to be compatible with the ports in the wall-socket (I mention this as there seems to be different type of coaxial connectors/ports, though I am no expert in this area).
If someone can assist with some advice here, I would be very grateful.
Thank-you,
Seán.
