Hello, I have issues with the internet - it breaks constantly for fragments of a second.

I reported it multiple times (over the last 1,5 years at least 6 times) but so far I did not get any help. It happens every day, almost every minute.

The signal values of your modem are ok. But we don’t see any devices which are connected via LAN cable. We ask you to make a speed test via CNLAB and to communicate us the CNLAB UID. We will analyze the values afterwards.

Forgot to mention, I use cable for my PC - so it’s not the wifi sign what is breaking.

One additional information: the speed is usually ok, the problem is that I have intermittent breaks constantly for seconds. Hope this report will show what my problem is.

VGulyas We have made the changeover to IPv4, which will be completed in 30 minutes. Restart your modem afterwards. If you have problems, reset your modem. Press the reset button on the back of the modem with a pointed object for at least 25 seconds.

Thank you very much for your help! So far it looks good, I’ll monitor it today evening and will write tomorrow whether I experienced any issues.

Until now, no intermittent breaks experienced, so it is a very good sign 🙂

Thank you - it looks all good now. I think we can close this issue now and if there will be any further occurrences, I will raise a new one.

This issue made my HO working difficult sometimes (connecting to VPN).

Login to ebanking or paying online for anything was like hell (seems like their tolerance for small breaks are much smaller than a page which does not handle transactions).

Hello all,

I will reuse this thread, as I have quite similar problem.

Since two days my Internet connection is constantly interrupting. It looks like DNS lookups failures but checking my internal router logs (on OpenWRT) - those are correct, names are properly resolved.

When connecting directly to ConnectBox over WiFi - the same problems - sometimes I need to reload pages with Ctrl+R several times - at least 3 or 4. Then there is a connection and works for some time. After some another time - like browsing a web shop and scrolling down the page - loading stalls again, mostly breaking the access. Or some photos are not loaded. So several consecutive requests do not work, then they work again, then disconnect.

I cannot connect to any “time critical” services like banks or XBox account. They just fail to login when there are any issues with the Internet connection.

Checked same browser, same web pages over cellular - works perfectly fine.

The issue applies both to WiFi and LAN with Connect Box, though LAN I have connected through my secondary internal router. Anyway until ca. last Tuesday (20.06.2022) everything worked perfectly.

One thing more - Home Office over Citrix works fine, but it has reconnecting options built-in. And mostly fixed IPs (so maybe DNS, again?). Tried to put 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS - but still interruptions persist.

Any ideas? PLZ 8105 Watt if it would help

I have found this thread looking for poor Giga connect reliability.

I have a UPC Giga Connect box. Since sometimes this spring download speeds vary between 300 and 1000 Mbps, upload is pretty constant at 100 (good) but Zoom calls keep freezing/falling out 2-3 times a day. Both me and my wife get better connectivity over our mobile phone hotspots!

Support makes you jump through all kind of hoops:

Box cannot be in bridge mode
No devices can be connected to it
You have to run 12 speed tests with a special client and a special configuration(!)

And even when you do all that they still say it is your fault.

I even have the WiFi on the Giga box.
