Good questions.
When you try and change TV/internet subscription on UPC, it offers nothing new. I’m about to finish my fixed (lock-in) period, so I think the best thing to do look around for a good deal, and move if necessary. However, UPC has been good to me and the service is reliable, so let’s see.
I know it’s (officially) not possible to get a new UPC package as an existing customer, and this may roll-over to Sunrise too, I don’t know. There’s always other providers of course.
My plan is to just wait it out; I’m sure it’ll all become clearer in a week or two. It seems the email was a touch premature and neither website has been properly updated yet.
