Hi Danielle,
So I finally managed to set the modem up, is in normal operation mode now, had a lot of issues last night with it, like I was logged in it and it did not show the connectede device to it and kept on dropping the link to my router, kept getting stuck in a solid green led light which is not documented anywhere, then had WPS issues according to the led light - and I never used or clicked the wps button, could access it’s interface sometimes but it kept on dropping or hanging, and I finally gave up on it at 4 AM.
Finally, this morning, it was working differently, I mean working. Logged into it, showed connected device, could set dhcp again, turn it off, turn off wifi, rebooted it and apprently now is fine.
Just did a final reboot and I am testing on my LAN, for now the BW looks good, the line holds as it is stable for now.
Lost some trust in this, the router, partly UPC, I am not going to lie… I was lucky I had a backup WAN to fall onto, otherwise I would have had a bitter time…
Also yesterday evening, plugged it in and let it sync and initialize for a good almost 3 hours before I could log into it, and after that I had a lot of issues like I explained in the first lines here, and more but nevermind.
Can you check anything or do some checks on your side please ?
The modem is in router mode now, so I have a double NAT situation going on but it is fine, as this is how I could finally have it working and stable, for now.
Also, called support yesterday evening, late, and your colleague referred me to a field crew to come check I do not know what exactly, and when they called this morning I cancelled their visit, as it is working now, and as you guys can see it from there and access it, I do not think they can actually help so no reason to use their valuable time.
I do not know how reliable this modems are, the first one worked well for more than a year and then started coughing and then just died, as in lost the link to my router.
Also, due to the nature of the config, I am not sure whether the modem just gave up or there was a config change on your side and my wan link config on my router did not get it, although I tried several other configs on my side and it still did not solve the issue.
Thank you for reading all this, I know I write a lot most of the times I write here. 🙂
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Alexandru
