Something / somebody are making phone calls using our phone numbers!!

Since last week. We are receiving 10 phone calls per day from upc users saying that my wife and myself called them, when not!!! No outgoing calls from our handy so some bot, somebody is doing a lot phone calls using our phone numbers!!!

We reported to upc and abuse@upc.ch but we still are receiving calls from random upc users

It’s anybody else experiencing the same annoying situation!!??

If the issue persist we will change to another company!!

Yo1 Welcome to the community!

This is a so-called spoofing, where a call center uses your cell phone number as sender. Please report your concern again to the Abuse Team, or go to your local police station and file a complaint for misuse of a telecommunications system and violation of Art. 3 of the Federal Law on Unfair Competition (UWG). This may help to determine who is behind the call center.

Hi. We already reported to Abuse Team and UPC support team where they said it is affecting also other UPC users. Since last week nothing change. There is no way ti fix all of this quickly?

I have this issue last three weeks and still get incoming calls saying I called them and asked why. I called the UPC service last week and they said that there is virus in the system (not on my phone). Can that be fixed quickly?

I’m having the same problem since about 2 months and made the abuse report too but still receiving 5 to 10 calls a day… also just realized my number is listed with some of the call filtering apps as telemarketing number… I’m really fedup when UPC/Sunrise won’t do anything about it.
