I am moving into a new flat and I need to get an internet subscription.
We are two people both working https://xender.vip/ from home, so speed and reliability is a must.
Unfortunately, the online connection available for most providers is just copper.
I’ve checked with Swisscom, Init7, Green, Wingo, Salt, iWay, and they all offer exclusively the 100mb/s.
However, it seems my building is cabled with coaxial, and UPC can offer a 1 GB connection.
Obviously that’s a no brainer compared to all the 100mb/s, but it’s hard for me (being new here) to understand why they are the only one having this specific infrastructure and what does it mean?
I don’t want to subscribe and then discover that, actually, with them, I can only reach 100mb/s.
They offer 12/24 months contract, the discount for the 24 months is quite generous (39 CHF for 1gb for 2 years).
What would you recommend?
