Hello

I’m currently considering to switch my internet provider and saw that UPC has Gigabit at my address. With other internet providers the max I can get is 475mbps.

Some questions: https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/

Do you actually get close to the promised speed of 1gbps?
How is the uptime? My workplace had some problems with the UPC uptime so I’m kinda scared that it’ll happen at home too.
How is the support?

Do you actually get close to the promised speed of 1gbps?
It is possible to achieve the speed if there are no bottlenecks in the customer’s infrastructure that slow down the speed.

How is the uptime? My workplace had some problems with the UPC uptime so I’m kinda scared that it’ll happen at home too.
Basically there are no downtimes, except for technical network problems. As long as the modem is online, it is connected to the internet.

How is the support?

nelsibrun Regarding the support question, I had some issue at the beginning (see https://community.sunrise.ch/d/17391-internet-not-working) but Daniele proposed a solution (disable IPv6 on my router) and it’s been working fine since then. So as you can read, it involved some downtime, but support was good.

I also had a quick call over the support phone number and they were able to speak in English and solve another little issue.
