I don’t want to use UPC provided equipment (connect box)

I am new to this country and has I settle in, I will very much like to get things under control and right now I don’t feel in control with this UPC provided connectbox.

I have my own router with functionalities I have used for years, back home all I needed to do was connect my personal router to the ISP internet enabled cable an access it. Is it possible to do so here? I don’t want to use the so called bridge mode because my internet traffic is still going through UPC connectbox. What are my options?

I have this question too. I am comparing UPC and Swisscom for Internet at my apartment.

I am not opposed to using the Connect Box (1Gbit) in Bridge mode, but I want to confirm this is possible. I will be using this with a Meraki MX64 security appliance (firewall).

maimuta8 Bridge mode is possible, but you need to convert your Cablebox to IPv4 to get the option offered. Simply call the support for this or alternatively there is a form somewhere here in the community.

Thank you! This is what I thought but I wanted to confirm any subscriber could have their box converted to IPv4. Cheers!
