Hi, I have trouble with the Connect Giga modem, which seems to be a bit buggy.

I previously had to separate the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz network, so I could at least reach normal speed in the 5 Ghz network.

Unfortunately, the 2.4 Ghz network ist still very slow and I use it to stream music and for smart devices. Max 35 Mbps in the speed test.

What are my options? Could you provide a fix or send me another modem type please?

isamllr Welcome to the community!

We have checked your WIFI and changed the channel in 2.4GHz from 1 to 6, because there are other WIFIs transmitting on the channel 6.

Please watch it for some time. If it doesn’t get better, we recommend downloading the Connect app from the mobile app stores. After installing the app, you can measure your WIFI and if suggested by the app, order Connect Pods to expand your WIFI.

Hi Daniele,

thanks for making the adjustments. Speed is now 85 Mbps (inconsistent😉), not optimal still, but definitely better.

isamllr I would set the channel in the admin area of your modem to AUTO. Now it is fixed on channel 6, but if all the other WIFI’s also take channel 6, you will have the same thing again.

If you set it to AUTO, the modem will do this work for you.
