So last night had same issue as usual, here is info.
00.40am Internet crashes, start using Android via UK mobile, so i can work.
I left Connext box to re-boot on its own, 1 hour later nothing, so i reset at back using pin and holding in for 20+, seconds, connect box reloading, both tv and Connect box flashing the arrows, 30 mins later wifi sign is green but 2 arrows are still flashing, another 40 mins and no change.
03.00am Internet still down, connect box power light now just flashing green, TV box still flashing arrows, i decide to logoff and go to bed.
10am, I wake up and Internet is up and running

Regarding port forwarding.
Access to UPC via IP address is blocked on work laptop !!
