Wrong (delivery) address

Hello.

I have organised UPC Internet / TV for my new address, but asked for the “boxes” (internet router and TV set-top box) to be delivered to my old address…

(As I haven’t actually moved into my new address yet, but want the boxes in advance, so that I can just “turn up and plug them in” on the first day I take over my new address…)

So, UPC tell me this is fine, and they will deliver the package (boxes) to my old address… and today they tried to deliver them to the new address… which of course, didn’t work, as I’m not moved in there yet and my name isn’t on the postboxes…

Not a good start to my UPC experience… 👎️

Jonathan257 We have now added shipping to the old address in the system. The package will be delivered on 25.09. Is that okay for you?

Well a Saturday isn’t perfect really, as who is at home on a Saturday?

Especially as that’s the day I take the keys for my new house, so if you’d left the deliver any later you could have just delivered to the new address.

Why is it taking 8 days for you to re-deliver a package? I would have thought you would have prioritised it considering…

Sorry if this all sounds a bit grumpy, but on both of the phone calls we made to your support we stressed that they should post out to the old address (which I am sure that most people who are moving house request, that just sounds logical…)

and they said “yes, no problem, we have that marked for the deliver address”

and then I sat here waiting for the delivery all morning

and only got told by “die Post” that they had tried to deliver to the wrong address after the fact…

Jonathan257 Please excuse our mistake again. As already communicated, the package will be sent again on 24.09.2021. I assume that it will be either on Saturday or the following Monday with you. You can leave an order online at the post office that your package should be placed e.g. in the building.

The reason why we deliver the package again only after 8 days in your case is that the move has not yet taken place, as well as we must first get the old package back before new devices are sent.

That’s not really an answer to my problem or previous post is it?

You’re just re-iterating that it will take you 4 days to post the package out (even though it is now back with you) and that it won’t turn up in time.

Jonathan257 Please let us know when and where you would like to receive the package. We will do our best to have the package at your desired location (new/old address) on that day.
