Very slow internet on INTERNET GIGA

Just got a new UPC subscription for home internet - Internet Giga.
Long story short, I was with Yallo internet for home (4g box) but needed something faster (and stable), they offered me to upgrade to the 5g internet for home from Sunrise, that was in fact slower and 4 times the price, and when I called again the agent who apparently was selling for both Sunrise and UPC offered me the Internet Giga from UPC for the same price and he included the TV as offer, claiming that would be the best stable and fast option for my address.

Normally, I understand and anticipate that the max speeds are hard to reach all the time and I wouldn’t complain if it’s 10-30% slower, but in my case I am suppose to have a 1 Gbit/s but instead it’s always about 35-60 Mbits/s which is around 20 times slower!! I did numerous speed tests during the last few days and especially the weekend gets really slow, and when we have 3+ devices active gets impossible.
Is this something from UPC side blocking or limiting my speeds? If yes, could you check? If not, could the package/price be adjusted to what I am getting?

All your devices are connected via WIFI. In order for us to check your devices, we ask you to run a speed test series as explained here and then report back here with the CNLAB UID so that we can check the values.

Hi Daniele and UPC community, As per cnlab instructions all tests have to be performed by cable but just one of the older laptops at home has ethernet port that seems limited somehow and not sure if results are accurate. The other new HP elitebook has no lan ports, neither the tablet, mobile phones or the fire stick. On wifi internet is still slow. Here is the Client ID (UID): 6048068640585105

DVB The HP laptop only has a 100mbit network card installed or is only connected to 100mbit.

With your concern I read out that WIFI is important. Here you can install WIFI Boosters to optimize your WIFI. These can be ordered via the Connect app from UPC.

Personally, however, I recommend a mesh WIFI system. These are more expensive to purchase, but will certainly meet your requirements for a very stable and uninterrupted Internet.

hi Daniele, thanks for your reply and update. I would never be using Ethernet cable for any of my devices, but in order to check properly will try to obtain other device/laptop and run the tests accordingly and will provide the results. Thank you for the wifi boosting advises, but I doubt it could compensate for that huge difference (e.g. just now on wifi I register 48 Mbps at 17:42h about 1.5m away from the router as per cnlab, and I am on a 1000 Mbps abo)
