Inbound IPv6 TCP connection terminated at the Connect Box

Hi,

I have a UPC connection with Giga Connect Box in IPv6 mode (CG-NAT on IPv4). This is all good, and I’m looking only at IPv6 inbound connectivity to my home devices.

However all inbound connections on IPv6 fail with the packets being dropped at the Giga Connect Box. Outbound IPv6 connections work just fine. I have scoured the gateway web admin page for a way to disable the firewall, but could not find anything.

Is it possible to enable full IPv6 routing on the Connect Box and drop the firewall ?

ddalex Welcome to the community!

Our internet lines all have IPv6 DS Lite enabled by default. If you want, we can change your modem to IPv4. Unfortunately we can not offer other types.

Hi, Thank you Daniele for the quick reply.

DS_Lite is perfect, I’m not looking for IPv4 connectivity, but I want the IPv6 connectivity to work inbounds as well as outbounds. I mean, I can reach the Connect Box on IPv6 from the internet, but I cannot reach anything beyond it. This is not CG(NAT), this some sort of firewall which I can’t disable.

Is it possible to disable it without moving the box to IPv4 ?
