As I have already earlier indicated it was impossible with the UPC support team to handle the problem. Neither the support team nor the UPC technical service could help me and proposed to send an other SIM card.
However the technical service pointed in the right direction. Once the product was registered finally in my account and I found the proper setting for my SAMSUNG and astonishingly enough it works after a proper manual installation!!
It did the same under guidance from the technical service, I was however misguided. Hence I have the feeling that UPC support is simply unable to know properly the own products, much too complicated. Every other SIM card I have works without any manual setting, just pop it in.
What is not mentioned in UPC brochures, the UPC SIM card works not with hot-points like HUAWEI etc. very annoying and should be mentioned in the offer as it will certainly keep off many users.
