MaVs Hello, i recently switched to UPC as i was told with fiber i would have gigabit internet but after switching my speed wont go above 500Mbit/s on speedtest.net and 130Mbit/s on cnlab UX Test. When i download files it’ll be 1000Mbit/s for a couple seconds and then quickly decrease to 200Mbit/s Here is my cnlab UserID: 1564670660222167 I have ran a tests as per UPC instructions shown here: https://www.upc.ch/en/internet/speedtest/
Daniele_Sunrise MaVs Welcome to the UPC Community! Can you please explain in detail how you connected everything in your network? Are you using any antivirus / security software? If so which one do you have? Greetings Daniele
MaVs I connected everything as per the instructions on the UPC Connect app, using fiber cable A, then an ethernet cable running from the router to my PC, as far as security software goes i just have the built in windows security no third party software.
Daniele_Sunrise MaVs We have made the changeover to IPv4, which will be completed in 30 minutes. Restart your modem afterwards. If you have problems, reset your modem. Press the reset button on the back of the modem with a pointed object for at least 25 seconds. Then please try again. Greetings Daniele
MaVs I ran another 12h test on cnlab with the same settings and it doesn’t look like anything’s different its still only about 120Mbit/s and 500Mbit/s on speedtest.net
Daniele_Sunrise MaVs The signal values are ok and I don’t see anything that would slow down the speed on the network side. Do you have a second computer that you can connect via LAN for a test? Greetings Daniele
