The secret is out: advance sales of the new iPhone models start on 2 October. We have summarised all of the details to make your decision easier.
From this coming Friday (00:01), you can pre-order the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus from us here: www.upc-cablecom.ch/iphone. But what is actually under the sophisticated aluminium hood? Here are the most important details:
Impressive camera
One highlight is the fast A9 processor and the upgraded camera with 12 megapixels. The guys at Curved performed detailed tests on it and came to the conclusion that it is another step forward. Not only because of the 4k function: a clear improvement in quality is visible compared to the iPhone 6 (greater detail and richer colours), especially where portrait photos are concerned.
Disappointing battery life
It comes as no surprise that the significantly larger 6s Plus is also heavier. On the other hand, it offers a longer battery life than its “little brother”. Nothing has changed where this is concerned compared to the last generation. The lack of improved battery performance is one of the main criticisms in the initial tests.
The editorial team of The Verge is quite taken with 3D Touch. This feature makes it possible to execute different commands depending on how much pressure you apply to the display. The speed of the processor and the camera also received a very positive review.
Our impressions will follow soon
As soon as the first devices have arrived, we too will have a closer look at Apple’s latest smartphone and let you know what we think. Until then it is well worth entering our competition. After all, we are giving participants the chance to win a new iPhone 6s.
By the way: we are aware that many Community members are staunch Android users. That is why we will also be reporting on new products launched by Samsung, HTC and co. over the coming weeks and months.
