General questions
Who can order the Connect & Play products?
All new customers can select from the Connect and Connect & Play portfolio. Existing customers can also switch to the new offers if the minimum contract period has expired. It is possible to switch to a higher priced product at any time.
When switching to the new portfolio, the minimum contract period of 12 months will start again from the beginning. It is then not possible to switch back to the old portfolio.
Can existing customers stay with their current portfolio?
Yes. There is no forced migration.
How can the new products be ordered?
The new Connect & Play offers are available online, via our hotline and in MyUPC.
Is there a minimum contract period for Connect & Play?
Yes, the minimum contract period is 12 months as previously. In the case of additional 2nd subscriptions, the minimum contract period will also start again from the beginning for the 1st subscription.
Which notice periods need to be considered?
The contract can be cancelled at any time after the end of the minimum contract period with 2 months’ notice to the end of any month.
Will an activation fee be charged?
Yes, as previously, an activation fee of CHF 99 applies in case of new orders or when changing your receiver.
A reduced activation fee will be charged if you switch from an existing product to another with lower monthly fees.
DigiCard
**Will the DigiCard continue to be offered?
**Yes. Customers still have the possibility of ordering an additional DigiCard via our hotline. The prerequisite for this is a Connect or a Connect & Play subscription. For CHF 10 per month, customers receive 140 channels/85 in HD. The DigiCard is the property of UPC and must be returned to UPC when termination is effected.
Can purchased DigiCards also be used for Connect & Play?
No. Purchased DigiCards cannot be used as a device for Connect & Play DTV services. If you switch to Connect & Play and want to watch TV via a DigiCard, we will send you a new DigiCard, which we will loan to you in the same way as a Horizon box.
Add-on options
What will happen with the TV add-on options?
Nothing will change for the “Sports TV” and “SFR” options – the previous terms and conditions apply. Existing C&P customers can still add these options, even if they stay with their old C&P product.
Who can order the “Premium Plus” option?
The new “Premium Plus” option is available from today and only with the new C&P products.
Important: If you have an old C&P bundle with a Premium TV subscription, nothing changes for you. You can watch Premium TV as usual.
Can Premium Plus and Sports TV also be activated on the DigiCard?Yes. If you have a Connect bundle, you can also activate the new TV options on your additional DigiCard. Having a Connect & Play bundle with a Horizon and an additional DigiCard, you can either activate the TV options on the Horizon or the DigiCard. If you wish to have the options on both TV devices, you have to subscribe to them twice.
What are the contract periods for Premium Plus and Sports TV?Like all existing DTV options, Premium Plus and Sports TV also have a minimum contract period and a notice period of one month.
