super slow suddenly

hi all,
my internet speed has dropped to 42 kbits per second and my internet is unusable...
any ideas what causes these sudden drops? do i have to complain or is it normal. i have only been a customer for two weeks.. so am learning about upc. thanks!

Definitely not normal.

Are you sure it's your internet speed that's bad rather than your wifi? Anyway, start by rebooting your router/modem and your laptop. Check the cabling.
