Every day this week we are getting marketing calls from numbers showing a Lausanne area code. For better or worse we do not manage to answer the telephone before the caller rings off, however calling the number back gives variations on a message from UPC basically telling us that the number is not in service.
This is the equivalent of major e-mail spam that these days gets blocked by the ISP for failing simple logical tests, and I expect no less from UPC. The customer service operator I have spoken with cannot help and I have requested escalation to a manager. Meanwhile posting here in the hope that someone both understands the issue and can help. It is not simply that I object to the marketing call, which I do, but that the call is in itself faked and therefore should automatically be rejected by the network.
Just been told to expect a call back during the next 48 working hours… by the end of Tuesday (today is Friday, it is 13:50). Hmmm. [sarcasm deleted]
