Same on the outside, different on the inside: the new iPhone 6s comes with a pressure-sensitive display, faster processor and better camera.
Apple is now bringing the “right-click” to the smartphone. Because the new iPhone’s pressure-sensitive display can detect three types of tap, with the second level comparable to the right-click. 3D Touch offers Quick Actions – shortcuts to the apps you use the most.
70 per cent faster and videos in 4K
The new A9 chip will offer 70% faster performance than its predecessor and will also boost battery life. Apple has also upgraded the camera. This now features a 12-megapixel sensor, while videos with a resolution of 3840 X 2160 (4k) can be shot. The latest version of iMovie on the iPhone 6s can also edit videos in 4K.
Apple has also thought of selfie fans. The front-facing selfie camera uses the screen to mimic a camera flash. As soon as you press the shutter release, the display momentarily becomes three times brighter than normal. The new iPhones feature Retina HD Displays and, as expected, are manufactured from 7000 Series aluminium. This is up to 60 per cent stronger than standard aluminium thanks to its density, but still very light.
