Connecting to the wifi from a mobile

I have a problem in connecting the mobile phones to my wifi at home. Internet connection is fine and working on all the other devices (PC and I-pad) but when we try to connect the phones (both Huawei with Android system) we have no internet connection.

The phones are linking to the net and they result connected but with no internet; I also tried the WPS connection directly through the moden and it is the same, the phones seem to be connected but there is no internet.

No I don’t have an I-phone but a Huawei P7 and a P8 lite. The I-pad is perfectly working while the phone never managed to go on internet (although it is connect at the net).

Yes, the IP address is like the one you say and with that there is also a second raw with letters and numbers (like fe80:6aa0::f6ff–). I have the white modem from UPC and yes I already tried to restart many times. Actually my phone never workes, but now we also have a second one (Huawei too) and also that doesn’t work.

Hast du ein iPhone? Dann sollte man dem 5 GHz WLAN einen anderen Namen geben und beim 2.4 GHz einen festen Kanal wählen.

Hilft bei Applegeräten immer.

Habe seit einiger Zeit das genau gleiche Problem mit der Connect Box. Auf dem PC und anderen Geräten funktioniert das WLAN komischerweise, aber auf dem Smartphone und Talbet ist es eine Katastrophe. Auch bei mir steht dann oftmals “mit WLAN verbunden, kein Internet”. Wenn ich beim Smartphone das WLAN an- und ausschalte, funktioniert es immer wieder für einen Moment normal und dann hat es plötzlich wieder keine Verbindung.

Hmm, can you post the IP-Adresse, just to be sure it’s the right one. Yes they should all be slightly different (192.168.0.x).

Have you restartet both the cell phones and the UPC Router?

What router did you get from UPC? The white, upright standing (ConnectBox)?

Thank you for your answer. I don’t really know how to choose between the different frequencies but I can see the IP address on my phone and I noticed that is slightly different from the one that I see on the I-pad (I don’t know if it is normel though).

Have you tried both, the 5Ghz and 2,4Ghz net?

Can you disable one for testing purpose and only try to connect to the remaining?

Do you receive an IP-Adresse when you connect? Should be viewable in the WLAN-Settings on your phone.
