Dear Community
With this thread we collect the questions and answers of all members about the new UPC TV Box and make an area possible, which is clear and easy to find.

Questions:
1. how do existing customers who do NOT have the current subscription get the new box?
All existing customers can switch to our new Happy Home products. Normally, an activation fee of CHF 99 will be incurred for this if no other promotion is available. Due to technical incompatibility, unfortunately existing recordings on the Horizon HD Recorder cannot be transferred when switching to a UPC TV Box.
The packaging from the UPC TV Box can be used for returning the Horizon HD Recorder. A return label is enclosed which can be used for the Pick@Home service offered by Swiss Post.
2. is it still possible to keep the free DigiCard with the extensive channel package (old subscription model)?
Following the launch of the new UPC TV, we are no longer offering the DigiCard as a product. Customers who want to use digital TV services on more than one device can now rent additional UPC TV Boxes for the price of CHF 5 per month. Compared with the DigiCard, the UPC TV Box offers numerous additional premium services (7 days of Replay, recording function) and all for half the price of a DigiCard.
Rented and/or purchased DigiCards that are currently in use will continue to work. If a customer decides to switch to the new UPC TV Box, however, this means that any rented DigiCards must be returned. These must then be replaced by UPC TV Boxes. These can be rented for the additional price of CHF 5 per unit and month. The customer can of course also continue to use DigiCards purchased in the past with Basic TV.
3. how many boxes per household etc.?
One TV set can be operated per UPC TV Box. For the low fee of just CHF 5/month each, the customer can use up to four* further UPC TV Boxes – with the same number of available channels, the same recordings and all rented films and series.
(*depending on the subscription selected)
4. I understand, that you can Exchange, no matter which subscription you have, today for the new UPC TV box?
All customers who opt for the Happy Home portfolio will receive the UPC TV Box.
5. Which 100 new channels are added?
See tomorrow the new channel list on upc.ch.
6. Can I keep my old subscription?
In order to receive the new UPC TV Box, a change to a Happy Home offer is required.
7. Is the 99.- fee charged for this?
All existing customers can switch to our new Happy Home products. Normally, an activation fee of CHF 99 will be incurred for this if no other promotion is available. Due to technical incompatibility, unfortunately existing recordings on the Horizon HD Recorder cannot be transferred when switching to a UPC TV Box.
8. what happens to the DigiCards I had with the Horizon?
Rented and/or purchased DigiCards that are currently in use will continue to work. If a customer decides to switch to the new UPC TV Box, however, this means that any rented DigiCards must be returned. These must then be replaced by UPC TV Boxes.
