Digicard not working Sony KD-49XF9005

Hello, I can’t get my Digicard to work on my new supported Sony KD-49XF9005 (Firmware v6.5830) (was used before on a Panasonic TX-L42ETW50).

I did follow the setup instructions (www.upc.ch/en/anleitung_sendersuchlauf_sony.pdf, UPC, Frequency 37000 and Network ID 43063): the channels are detected but I don’t get any picture or sound.

The Digicard is visible on the tv menu, and the sim card is fully inserted:

I never saw any messages about Digicard authentication, like i used to see before on my old Panasonic.

I have tried everything i could think about, any ideas? Or should I call support and ask for a new Digicard/Sim combo.

Hi Daniele, you’re the best!

Using Frequency 306′000 and Network ID 43064 for the digital auto scan on Cable Operators (Others) has founded all the channels.

I can see all my channels, so my digicard is working fine.

I will keep the new settings in my documentation for future use.

@Alpha1 ,have you tried a manual search yet? Below are the data for the manual search. If this does not work, I recommend that you contact our technical support at 0800 66 88 66.

No changes. I left the tv on this morning for more than 1h, to let the digicard ‘talk’ to UPC.

I still have missing channels when using Cable Operators (Others).

If I try UPC, nothing, can’t get RTS 1, and the working channels do work even without the digicard inserted (like France 3)

Since I can see encrypted channels, like Syfy, my card must be working some how.

I wonder if the Oreo 8.0 Update is causing all this trouble (I can’t get back to the previous firmware…)

Is it possible to get another digicard to test?

@Alpha1 , I sent you the rights to the channels on your DigiCard. Do the channels work for you?

A quick update: If I do choose Cable TV (Others) when doing digital setup, I do get most of the channels: RTS Un, France 3, Syfy, etc.. So it looks like my Digicard is working after all.

I’m still missing a few channels, like TF1 and France 2.

I have tried to setup the channels again with UPC: still no picture/sound, but it does list all the channels (I see TF1, France 2, there are no channel gaps with the name ‘No Service’

I have tried restarting the TV after doing the digital setup over ‘UPC’, no changes, no picture/sound

I remember having the same ‘issue’ on my Panasonic: I had to choose Cable TV (Others) to get the channels, but I had no gap and all channels were available.

When I look at My UPC, the Digicard SmartCard Status is ‘Activate’, is this correct? Do I need to call the support to do something to fix it?
