UPC mobile customers can now benefit from the advantages of Mobile ID. A Mobile ID-enabled UPC SIM card is required to use the service.**

UPC private and business customers can now use the most secure authentication method for websites: The Mobile ID-capable SIM card is now available via upc.ch, in the UPC Shops and from 28 May in the Retail Shops.

Simple, secure and convenient

Mobile ID simplifies Internet authentication in a very secure way. It makes logging on to online platforms more convenient - without compromising security or additional devices.

Existing UPC mobile customers can also benefit from the new services: The existing UPC SIM cards are not Mobile ID-capable and must therefore be replaced if necessary. So if you already have a UPC SIM card and would like to use the Mobile ID services, you can order a new Mobile ID-enabled one free of charge via MyUPC.

Ordered mine! Looking forward to logging on to Postfinance without needing to use that yellow card reader thing.

I couldn’t get the “submit” button to activate when using the UPC website in English, but switching to German (and providing the same information) worked fine.
